It has been reported that the Milwaukee M18 power tools have built-in over discharge protection. Therefore, you should be able to use any 18V/20V lithium ion battery packs with the Milwaukee M18 power tools with the appropriate adapter.

Craftsman V20 Battery Pack

There doesn't seem to be any source on whether Craftsman V20 batteries have built-in over discharge protection. But considering that Milwaukee M18 power tools have been reported to have over discharge protection circuitry, it should be safe to use the Craftsman V20 battery packs on the Milwaukee power tools.

It has been reported that the Makita batteries do have built-in over discharge protection. Therefore, it should be safe to use Makita batteries with an adapter on Milwaukee M18 power tools. But you might consider disassembly your Makita battery to ensure that there is an over discharge protection circuit.

Therefore, it should be safe to use Ryobi ONE+ batteries with an adapter on Milwaukee M18 power tools. But you might consider disassembly your Ryobi ONE+ battery to ensure that there is an over discharge protection circuit.
