Dakine Snowboard Tool

Whenever I go up the mountain at Big Bear, I always bring my Dakine Snowboard Tool. You never know when you'll need it. And when my gf is around, she always want me to change her binding setting. So once again, during New Years, I'm kneeing on the ground, trying to change her boot bindings when I noticed the screw bit kept falling out of the tool. It turned out that the metal clip had came loose and it lost it metal ball that is holding the bit by friction. Looking for a metal ball in snow is kinda like searching for a needle in the haystack (not that I have ever tried before, but I bet that's what it felt like being in the haystack). I gave up and went home with a broke tool.

A week ago, I realized that I had this cool L-shaped screwdriver. It also has a metal clip and metal ball for switching out bits. I found this tool at the 99 cents store, a while ago, for . . . you guessed it . . . 99 cents.

Ok, so the Dakine Snowboard Tool was 12 bucks, plus/minus one or two bucks. And the L-shaped tool was a buck . . . yah . . . I bet you know what thought.

It didn't take me long to slip the metal clip off the angled screwdriver and remove the metal ball. Putting the ball and clip on the Dakine Snowboard Tool was just as easy.

Now I have my awesome Dakine Snowboard Tool back in working condition. But I feel bad for the L-Shaped Screwdriver . . . At least it still have a working end. Now I just have to find another tool with a metal clip and a metal ball that costs less than 99 cents. 8-P
