Garage Door Cable Unwinds and Tangles UpI've had my WD idrive for about 10 years and based on the pictures above it is the TorqueMaster with the drop down locking arm. My problem is that the door will automatically raise but when I try to close it automatically the mechanism begins to coil but the door does not close and the cable moves off track and tangles up. I've spent many hours trying to reposition the cable. Now I open the door automatically and close it manually. Is this a fuse issue as well? Somebody told me there is a spring/coil that is housed in a cylinder that runs from one side of the door to the other and it might be broken. Any suggestions appreciated. Eddie T. No. Your problem has nothing to do with the fuse. If it is the fuse, the idrive will not respond at all. It's not clear if your problem has anything to do with the garage door opener (idrive). It may have something to do with your cable, drum, or track mechanism. Do you have some pictures? Chieh Cheng Most likely this is a problem with the garage door itself. Try checking the door balance. The door should not be too heavy and slam down nor should it fly open. Does the door go up and down smoothly? Make sure the door isn't binding at any point in travel either. I would also check to make sure the horizontal tracks are level and not sloping towards the garage floor as well. Alex
