Eureka 39150 BatteryI have an Eureka cordless vacuum. It's Eureka 39150 rechargeable battery has died long time ago. Luckily it one that can be removed and plugged in. It's a 6v battery. But for some reason, I could not mentally predict what kind of cells makes up 6v. I've been thinking about 3.6 and 7.2 volts too much lately. I've forgotten that five 1.2v C-Cell NiCd makes up 6v. That is, until I broke the battery case apart (see photo below). The plastic case on the left is the backing, where you'll find the specification for the Eureka 39150 battery. There are five C-sized cells wired in series. Searching for Eureka 39150 yields no results. But it does point to the Eureka 60776 battery, which looks identical. So why the different model number? Could it be that the Eureka 60776 contains NiMh battery cells rather than NiCd battery cells? Good news is that the Eureka 60776 battery is quite reasonably priced. Even better news is that the Eureka direct part store has the lowest price on this battery compared to third-party part stores. See sources for this battery in "Related Links" below. Chieh Cheng Found your like while looking up similar data -- www.instawares.com has lowest price (I don't work for them), but I'm going to see about modding the power supply using the old pack case. If you see smoke in the distance... Scott Hey, I'd be interesting to hear more about your mod. What are you planning? Keep me posted. Chieh Cheng
