Diaper Changing Station

When my wife and I had our baby daughter, our bathroom counter top (the size of two sinks, but only one sink) came in handy. We turned the flat counter top into baby diaper changing station. My wife laid layers and layers of bath towels on the counter top to provide a soft platform for the baby.

The first few days we used the counter top, we were quite afraid to turn away from the baby for even one second. We were afraid that the baby would roll off the side of the counter; even though as an infant, she hasn't learned how to roll yet.

Being the man of the house, I thought of ways to add a rail to the bathroom counter top. They all had to be temporary, of course. The simplest idea was a wooden board clamped down the edge of the counter top with C-clamps.

When I got home to implement my life-saving idea, I found my wife to be a step ahead of me. She has already thought of ways to roll the towers so that it's higher toward the counter top edge (see photo below). So much for my C-clamps. But, at least, I didn't have to do any work. ;-)
