DeWALT 20V MAX Power Tools Battery Interface

The 'TH' pin is the thermistor, that is, a temperature-sensitive resistance that enables the tool to cut off the power to save the battery from overheating.

From other post I read as well as tested myself that resistance is different between B- and ID. Tools are able to identify which battery is connected to it.
