Sony PS2 DVD Remote Works with Sony DVP-CS995V Mega 400-Disc Changer

I've just bought a Sony DVP-CX995V CD/DVD Player off eBay. The player can hold up to 400-CD/DVD's. So I plan to organize all of our discs in it before my baby could walk and bring down our CD rack. The DVD player works beautifully upon arrival. But the original Sony RM-ASP001 remote control is not in the box.

I decided to try the Sony PlayStation 2 DVD Remote Control. Lucky for me, most of the DVD remote's function worked. The play button, and perhaps other buttons, turned on the player automatically. There is no power button on the remote, but if you turn on the Auto Power Off feature in the custom set-up menu, the player will turn itself off after 30 minutes in stop mode.

I rarely use the Sony PS2 DVD Remote Controller because i hardly ever play DVD on my PS2. Now that I find this remote works beautifully with the DVP-CS995V, the Sony PS2 DVD Remote will see a lot of action.
