Don't want to let my phone format my memory card!Phone Wants to Format My Memory Card anonymous 1. Pull the memory card out of your phone. Can your PC read the card? If so, copy all the data to your PC. If not, your card may be damaged. And that may be why your phone wants to format it. There is a chance formatting it will revive your card, but at the cost of losing your data (which may be permanently lost anyway). You may need to get a new card if it is not revive-able. Seth
