VT-x is disabled in the BIOSHad just gotten a Lenovo Y50-70 gaming laptop to replace the Asus G46vw gaming laptop. I had several operating systems installed in VirtualBox on the old laptop, which I moved over to the new laptop. But when I tried to launch them ion VirtualBox, I got the "VT-x is disabled in the BIOS. (VERR_VMX_MSR_VMXON_DISABLED)." message (see screen shot below). I don't see why computers would be shipped with this function disabled. But to enable it on the Lenovo Y50, you have to enter the BIOS (see "How to Enter the Lenovo Y50 BIOS "), and enable "Intel Virtual Technology" setting. Don't know why it's disabled in the first place. But once you enable it, VirtualBox will be able to launch your virtual machines. Jake The following photo shows the BIOS "Intel Virtual Technology" option to enable. Jake
