GeForce Experience 2 - A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

When NVIDIA released the GeForce 335.23 driver, I had trouble installing it through GeForce Experience (see "GeForce 335.23 Driver - Installation cannot continue " thread). Now that NVIDIA has released version 2 of GeForce Experience, I once again have trouble with it on my Asus G46VW gaming laptop. I get the following error message (also see screen shot below):

NVIDIA Install
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

Anyone have the same trouble? I'm just about ready to uninstall GeForce Experience 1.8.2 and try installing version 2.0 by downloading from NVIDIA's web site.

Ok. NVIDIA GeForce Experience has really hosed up my computer now. I can't even uninstall version 1.8.2. When I attempt to do so from "Control Panel", it reports the following error message (also see attached screen shot):

RunDLL

There was a problem starting C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2\installer.{43288A03-FAF5-428A-A35E-7872DA224F6E}\NVI2.DLL

A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

And when I attempt to start GeForce Experience 2.0.0.0 from the executable that I downloaded from NVIDIA web site, I got the early error message. This problem occurs on my Windows 8.1 installation. Anyone seen this problem before?

Ok. I finally got it to work. Apparently, NVI2.dll in the "installer.{43288A03-FAF5-428A-A35E-7872DA224F6E}" directory got corrupted.

I moved the corrupted NVI2.dll to the desktop and ran installation again. Of course, that didn't work, because now NVI2.DLL can't be found at all.

Then I look at the neighboring directories, such as "installer.{536969F4-4E8E-4BD3-A72A-EADF1DD24BBE}", copied its NVI2.dll in the complaining directory. Then I launched GeForce Experience again to install version 2. That worked.

After installing GeForce Experience 2, it was able to install GeForce 335.23 graphics driver as well.
