Shutdown Incorrectly When Powering Off Chromium OS

I am currently running the chromium os off of a SD Card with no problem but when I power it off by pressing the power button and then power it back on chrome says that it shut down incorrectly. Is this happening because I am not using the hdd itself. Also off the topic but I am unable to ever get chromium to log in off my gmail account I have to use the default facepunch name and pass every time.
