Meshtastic Client Power Consumption

Just successfully put together my Meshtastic client using Heltec V3 with 1200 mAh. Fits perfectly in the CyberNet Case for Heltec V3 and 1200 mAh Battery - LoRa Meshtastic Radio Device by EveryThang3D. Attached below is the power consumption as measured with diymore USB C Power Meter.

Picture a bit hard to read. It basically show 5v 0.66 amp current draw, which translates to 3.3 watts.

Getting ready for EDC Las Vegas 2025, so I'm testing how long the Meshtastic radio lasts with the 1200 mAh battery. I started the test at 9 AM today. It is now 3:29 PM and it shows 69% 3.88V battery power life. That's 6.5 hours since it started.

For comparison, I'm also testing a 4000 mAh radio at the same time. It also started at 100%. After 6.5 hours, it shows 94% 4.10V. This battery might last through 3 EDC nights on one charge!

The 1200 mAh radio went into sleep mode, due to low battery. The last reading from another radio was around 8:52 PM with 20% battery power. So the 1200 mAh radio lasted just shy of 12 hours.

The 4000 mAh radio still has 80% power at 10:52 PM.
