Razer Synapse 2.0 Won't Launch

Decided to take a break from pounding my head out right now. I was in San Francisco, taking a break from my routine. Took my spare HP Pavilion dv6-3050us Entertainment Notebook with my Razer Naga MMOG laser gaming mouse. Wanted to install the Razer Synapse 2.0, so that I can use my League of Legend setting and macros.

Problem? It won't launch. Well, technically, it launches, because the Razer Synapse icon shows up in the task bar. But after a few seconds, it immediately exits. So it's not running.

I've installed and uninstalled it several times. But it's always the same way. This is after I've supplied my e-mail address and password. I don't know why, but it's driving me crazy. Anyone have had this problem before and solved it?

Having the exact same problem. Have you figured anything out yet?

No, I'm out of ideas right now. Just using the default button values for now and have remapped League of Legends (LOL) key bindings. Not the optimal settings, but it works for now. Still need a real solution.

This has just started happening to me too. I've been getting spammed to download the razer wow addon for over a week and I got tired of yelling at my screen "I don't care I do not play wow" So i clicked install. Now I'm having this issue.

This seems to be the only place I can find where other people are having the problem so it's obviously not effecting everyone.

Hmm I just reinstalled it and it has started working fine. I installed it from an earlier version (not sure if that's the only option)and it updated itself I restarted and it opened up.

Seems Synapse has gone rogue and changed its security settings - you need to run the app as administrator.

Go to your Razer install file - on Win7 64-bit, mine is located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Synapse.

Right click RzSynapse.exe and open properties, go to Compatibility tab, and Change Settings for All Users - check the Run this program as administrator checkbox, OK/apply/whatever you need to do. App should launch fine.

Do the same for RzUpdateManager.exe.

Screenshot attached for clarity's sake.

Thanks for the tip, annun. I have been looking for a solution for a long time. I should have thought of the security issue.

Ok, so I was having this problem too. I clicked the razer application in the taskbar and did open file location and then click Run as Administrator. After about 10 minutes it decided to open and now it's working fine...

Guys after you install it and it updates you have to restart your computer for the updates to take effect making it unusable until you do.

One option I saw on another forum said something to do with the Microsoft .NET Framework, and the fix is as follows

Open start menu

Type in "cmd", right click the icon, and run as admin

Type in "sfc /scannow" without the quotations

Wait until your computer is done

If it was a file on your computer itself conflicting with the Synapse program, this may fix it.

If not, you're S.O.L.

I was able to fix this problem by uninstalling(and restarting) and then installing from the razer site, it worked like a charm after that.

Hello Everyone,

I think that I found and solution for those of you, who are still unable to optimize your Razer products.
(In my case it is Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma) - not sure, how it will works with other products like mouse or keybord or whatever.

What I did when I had the problem - Make a clean instal of Synapse (downloaded from razer website for Windows 10) , uninstal headphones at device manager as well.

Disconnect your Razer product before uninstalling razer synapse and in device manager.
Reboot your PC.
Download Synapse once again - make sure you dont have any files in program files etc.
Install Synapse - don't launch it after the install.
Reboot your PC manually.
When Synapse will start to update - then do this.
If not , run it manually - DO NOT CONNECT YOUR RAZER DEVICE !
After an update - reboot your pc. If it does not update - leave it and run synapse.
Register an account if you dont have one, register your product /warranty etc.
Upgrade to Surround PRO if you have an option - everything without connecting your headphones.
After all installs and upgrades you can manage setting and optimalization for your headphones.
After you did all the changes to settings you can connect your razer device - synapse will dissapear, but settings will be saved - even if it dissapears.
If would you like to change any setting for your headphones, then you have to disconnect them, run the synapse, change the customization(bass volume, colours , anything) , then leave the synapse opened and connect your razer device.
Same thing will occur - synapse will dissapear but setting will be saved.

Let me know if it works for anyone of you.

Set! Went along to Device Manager and click ߵRazer Naga' and taken out apparatus. Check out the box to take out the motorist, way too. Unplugged mouse put it straight. Detected as ߵHID-compliant Mouse'. Un installed Synapse 2.0 and rebooted. Re-installed Synapse 2.0 so if the Update Supervisor conducted, I'd Device Supervisor Open up. I watched this upgrade both the motorist along with ߵHID-compliant mouse' shifted to ߵRazer Naga'. Up date demanded the following re boot. Came upward flawlessly. My macros come settings and back revived by cloud. Woot! Hope this can help!
