Mozilla Firefox can't find VCRUNTIME140_1.dllBumped into a really strange problem today where Firefox report that it could not find VCRUNTIME140_1.dll. When this happens, web pages wouldn't load. Firefox just sits there with a blank client window. The exact error message is as follows: "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." The actual error dialog is attached as screen shot. Joe There is a "vcruntime140.dll" in the "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" installation directory. But there is no "vcruntime140_1.dll". Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox doesn't help. Funny thing is if I run "dir VCRUNTIME140_1.dll /s" on drive "C:", "vcruntime140_1.dll" is littered all over the place. Copying one of the "vcruntime140_1.dll" into the "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" installation directory fixed the problem. Firefox runs without any issues after that. Joe
