Installing Google Chrome Without Internet AccessGoogle isn't very helpful at providing the Chrome browser to you. Through its site, you download it's small Chrome Installer. Once you run it, it downloads the actual installer and starts the installation. Why it does this extra two step process is beyond me. For me, the problem lies in the sophisticated proxy network I'm hidden behind. I can download the small installer, but the smaller installer is not smart enough to get pass the proxy, even though it's already set-up in Windows' Internet Options. Google Chromes web site and its help system isn't very helpful at all. No where is there a documentation on how to get the standalone installer for Google Chrome. Eventually I found it in an obscure discussion thread that the download location for the standalone installer is here: http://cache.pack.google.com/chrome/install/149.29/chrome_in . . . Chieh Cheng The latest, version 0.2.149.30, standalone installer is located here: Chieh Cheng The two previous links are outdated. I did a search for "Google Chrome standalone installer" on Google and found this link: http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?standalone=1 Hopefully, this link won't expire (as quickly) like the other two. Chieh Cheng FYI: The link is still working (after one year ;)). Great info, thanks. Hlio Guilherme
