VirtualBox Hackintosh with iATKOS ML2

Ever since getting the Asus G46VW-BSI5N06 gaming ultrabook, I've been toying with the idea of triple booting Windows 8, Ubuntu, and Mac OS X Mountain Lion on it. I managed to get the first two operating systems booting (see "Asus G46VW - Dual Boot Ubuntu 12.10 with Pre-Installed Windows 8"). But no matter how hard I tried, I just can't get iATKOS ML2 to boot on this laptop. And if I can't get it to boot, then I can't get it to install.

Finally, I decided to try another method. And that's to install Mac OS X as a virtual machine. There are several advantages to doing it this way. For one, if it works, I can forget about triple booting. Instead, just install Ubuntu 12.10 and Mac OS X 10.6 in virtual machines on Windows 8. Then I can play with all three operating systems at the same time!

I found that installing iATKOS ML2 through VirtualBox on Ubuntu 12.10 was a breeze. First you install VirtualBox via Ubuntu Software Center. Then you follow the "How to install OS X Mountain Lion in Virtualbox with iAtkos" guide. The guide was written for Windows, but use it as a guide to install iATKOS ML2 is practically a no brainer.
