Minecraft 1.9 Crashes OutJust upgrade the Minecraft game client to 1.9 and the Minecraft server to 1.9. But now the client crashes out after connecting to the server. I get the following log messages in the Minecraft Launcher 1.6.61: # Anyone seen this problem and know how to solve it? Fido I have already tried running different worlds on the server and even creating a new world. But it didn't help the situation. I noticed that there is a Java update notification, so I upgraded the Java Runtime, but got the same error message: # Fido you and I both, Stuff is driving me crazy because I really want to play the new update.. Logan Found the solution. Many forums reported that a bug with the Intel video driver causes the game to crash while entering the world. The way around it is to turn on VSync and VBOs. In my situation, VSync made no difference, but VBOs has to be on. Once I changed these values in "Video Settings" (see screen shot below), the game worked fine. Fido My laptop has the Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M graphics card in addition to the Intel discreet graphics. The laptop should automatically switch to use the Nvidia graphics card for games. But for some reason, the Intel card is used. If you are in the same situation, you don't have to enable VBOs, instead tell Minecraft to use the Nvidia graphics card. To do that, right click on the Minecraft icon. Then click on "Run with graphics processor". And finally, click on "High-performance NVIDIA processor (default)". The screen shot below shows the pop-up menu. When I did that, Minecraft ran without crashing while VBOs is off. Surprisingly, even though the menu option shows it as default, it really wasn't. Fido
