Annoucing New Macs with Intel Processors

The Apple Store is thrilled to announce the newest computers to our store:

iMac with Intel Core Duo Processor desktop (ships now) MacBook Pro laptop (on pre-order, scheduled to ship in February)

Running Mac OS X on the new Intel Core Duo processor, these new systems deliver performance that is up to 2x - 4x that of their predecessors. These iMacs now feature dual-core processors, built-in iSight camera for video conferencing and the breakthrough Front Row media experience with the Apple Remote.

Creative is now available in the interface and a newsletter with more detail will follow shortly.

I wonder how long will it take before people get Windows, DOS, OS/2, and Linux running on these new Intel-based Mac's.
