Clash of Clans: Barbarian King Only Sleeps When He is Dizzy

I just got the Barbarian King in Clash of Clans this morning. After every battle he slept for 30 minutes. But just now, after I attacked the goblin campaign, the Barbarian King was still wide awake. So I tried attacking another goblin village with just the Barbarian King. Afterward he was asleep again. Now I realized that if the Barbarian King didn't become dizzy during a fight, he can enter battle right away. So that is opportunity to leverage.

1) Maybe only drop the Barbarian King closer to the end of battle where you can guarantee a win without damaging the Barbarian King to the point of dizziness.

2) If you end the battle early right before he becomes dizzy, will it save him for the next fight?

3) Put the Barbarian King behind an army of giants.

Any other ideas?

I just attacked a goblin village and the Barbarian King made it out alive. But he still took a 15 minute nap... I guess if his health goes down to halfway, he has to sleep for a little while. :-(
