What Happened to iSpot?I can't find the iSpot on clear.com web site any more! My friend recently told me about this iSpot device that he has been using. It's small, like a cellphone, that connects to the 4G WiMax network and provides a wireless access point for your mobile devices. Oh and it's only meant for Apple mobile devices. But there is a firmware hack that would open its access for all WiFi devices. The service plan is $25/month with no contract and unlimited data access. The iSpot modem itself costs $99 one time fee. However, when I went to check it out on Clear.com web site today, I couldn't find it at all. No $25/month plan and no iSpot. Anyone know what's going on? Chieh Cheng "Due to the ongoing popularity of the iSpot device, we are currently out of stock indefinitely. At this time, we are uncertain when this device will be offered again. The iSpot is still available for in-hand retail purchases only until the physical inventory is depleted. If you provide me with your zip code, I can locate a store in your area where you can inquire about this device." Sarcast Wow. Where did you get that? Chieh Cheng You need to chat with them. There is a live chat function. Apparently there was a deal for the ispot for $20. Sarcast This is concerning: "At this time, we are uncertain when this device will be offered again." Chieh Cheng sure...makes you desperate. marketing tactic. brilliant. Nook did that when it sold out...no big deal. just check the stores. Sarcast
