Samsung SPH-A900M Battery and Charger

When my parent-in-laws came into town, they brought a Nokia N70 with them. But its AC adapter is 220 volt and has a plug that is incompatible with the AC outlet in the United States. My father-in-law suggested getting a separate battery charger for the N70's internal BL-5C battery. I ended up finding a battery charger, AC adapter, and extra battery set on Amazon (see "Related Links" below). I also found a set for my Samsung A900M. When I received the package, I thought the extra battery form my Samsung A900M looks a bit different.

The battery that came with my A900M is a 3.7 volt Lithium Ion. Model number is BST4968BA. The extra battery that comes in the package i a 3.7 volt Lithium Ion battery with a model designation of AB503445AA. Physically, it is slightly smaller than the battery supplied with the A900M mobile phone. But the battery works just fine in the A900M.

I had hoped that the Mobile Phone Desktop Charger for the battery will work with my extended A900M batteries as well. But the way its designed, the battery charger charges the standard battery upside-down. Therefore, it is unable to charge the extended batteries. Now I'm thinking of ways to modify the charger.
