Moving the MediaWiki SideBar from the left to the right side
I have recently installed MediaWiki 1.7.1. It uses a MonoBook skin that puts the navigation sidebar on the left. But I like sidebars on the right on my web sites. So I looked into moving the sidebar onto the right. No web site currently shows how to do that.
Therefore, I made a copy of the MonoBook skin to customize. And I found moving the navigational sidebar to the right is easy. All you have to do is change a single line in main.css. Change "float: right;" under "#column-content" to "float: left".
The hard part is that the logo doesn't move along with it. It looks like the logo is fixed in the absolute position. Also, there is no padding between the content and the navigational sidebar. It looks like more CSS work is necessary to move everything to the right side.
I don't know enough CSS to make it work right now. But if you get a chance to experiment with it, add your notes to this thread.
