Ubuntu 8.1 on MSi Wind U100In the most recent eweek magazine, Executive Editor Jason Brooks wrote an "Ubuntu still best Linux distribution for desktops" article. This article outlined his experience on installing and running the Ubuntu 8.1 operating system on MSi Wind U100. From his article, I had drawn two things to watch out for this installation. 1. If you have the RealTek wireless network card, you can install a precompiled and packaged driver. (Note: Jason mistyped the brand as "Realtech".) 2. If you install Ubuntu 8.1 from an USB stick (a great idea, by the way), it'll install "the boot-loader on the master boot record [of] the USB stick". In this case, you'll have to boot from the USB stick, and install the GRUB boot-loader manually. Chieh Cheng
