Ado so you go to starbucks and with your foursquare, facebook, or another app, you open it up and click the check-in function. it'll mostly know where you are and what business. then you click check in. you can write a comment, post a pic, orr do nothing but check-in. you can get deals from some places. souplantation offers a 15% deal if you check in. if you link your amex card to foursquare you also get some kind of deal like money back. mostly, it's still a social network. you check in and your friends can see where you've been. you can also see where your friends have been. you can bookmark places or make lists of where you wanna go. you can also link fs to fb or twitter or other places. you should get "Path" a social network alternative to FB but you can also post direction to FB, twitter, tumblr, and fs. maybe google plus in the future. you can be my "Path" friend. it only allows a max of 160 friends so it's less chaotic.
