Subway WiFi Could Block You for 30 MinutesSubway provides free WiFi service at its fast food restaurant chains. But unlike Starbucks or McDonald, where anyone within the restaurant can get online, you'll need a code that the cashier will provide at checkout. The code last three hours, which is pretty decent to get some work done at lunch. But there are other restrictions. For one, if you type the passcode incorrect too many time, you can get locked out for 30 minutes (see screen shot below). Is there really a need to be this restrictive, where most of us are just here for lunch and trying to get some work done at the same time. 30 minutes out of the lunch hour is a lot of potentially productive time gone. The hassle with these restrictions is making me think twice about having lunch at Subway. Especially when competitors doesn't make you waste time asking for and entering a passcode to get online. If you do go to Subway, be sure to type in the login code correctly the first or second time, or be prepared to have an unproductive 30 minutes. Mel
