Firefox Continuous Loading Work AroundThe Firefox install on my SUSE Linux has always been a little strange. Quite often, when I click on a link, it would just load a page continuously, unsuccessfully. And no matter what page I go to, it would just continuously load. The only way to stop it is to shut down Firefox and restart it back up. Problem with that is I usually have 10 or more tabs open. I don't want to remember and go back to each of those tabs individually. And that's what happens when you shut down Firefox. I found the way around it is to kill Firefox separately, such as using the UNIX kill command or Window's Task Manager. The new version of Firefox can detect that it has been prematurely killed and offers to "restore the tabs and windows from your previous session" as shown in the screenshot below. With this trick, I don't have to worry about restarting Firefox all the time. The only problem is that if you are behind a password protected proxy server, you have to enter your user name and password for each tab/window. That could be a real pain. I wish Firefox would be smart enough for you to enter it once for all tabs/windows. Attached Image: Chieh Cheng Sweet! I just did this the other day, I had like 12 tabs open and got stuck, so I closed tabs I was done with & just closed firefox thinking oh yeah I'll just look in history to get back to the 3 I wanted, but a couple were things I had looked at hours before & then couldnt even recall what I was doing or find them in history. shiny march to ff CH (shiny mar to ff) funDivaChristy
