VirtualBox Ubuntu 12.10 - Auto-Hide LauncherInstalling Ubuntu 12.10 in VirtualBox, on Windows 8, created some undesirable traits. For one, I could auto-hide the launcher, only to have a band that shows up in its place. The band covers everything that moves onto it. The following bug report seems to cover the symptom: Unity laucher leaves a trace when autohide is enabled (using llvmpipe acceleration) In the process of "Speed Up Ubuntu 12.10 Guest on VirtualBox", this problem got fixed. Apparently, Unity was trying to be slick by making its launcher transparent. it works great in 3D, but when VirtualBox 3D it not enabled, it creates an opaque band. The only problem with the auto-hide is that moving the mouse over to the left sides doesn't cause it to reveal. It's another problem that needs resolution. Jake
