New Spanned Volume... The operation is not supported by the objectHi all, I have gotten myself a dual drive dock. And I have two Seagate Barracuda 6TB Hard Drives (ST6000DM003). In Windows Disk Management, when I try to create "New Spanned Volume...", I get "The operation is not supported by the object" error message. When I try to convert each drive to a "Dynamic Disk", I get the same message. I have the feeling that it's the conversion to "Dynamic Disk" that is giving the error message. Why is Windows giving me this error message? And is there a way around it? Dave Ok. I read online that "Dynamic Disk" has been deprecated on Windows. Now, you have to use "Storage Spaces" in "Control Panel". Microsoft could have put in that error message into "Disk Management". Jeez... I spent hours messing around in "Disk Management". Dave
