Netgear WNR834B Wireless-N Router Network Throughput

After a discussion with my buddies on network throughput and the Netgear WNR834B Wireless-N Router, we decided to perform a throughput test for all of its encryption modes.

For reference, the following results are from a desktop computer that is connected to the network via a 100 Mbps ethernet cable.

Result 1: (connected directly to FIOS modem)

Result 2: (connected to WNR834B then to FIOS modem)

LAN Comparison

In this test, I transferred "Sugar on a Stick v2 Blueberry (0.86.3).iso" (603,136 KB) between the wired Desktop computer and the MSi Wind N netbook. Desktop computer was running Windows Vista, while the netbook was running Windows 7. Netgear WNR834B was configured with no encryption.
