WAN ComparisonI used the Speakeasy Speed Test to benchmark the performance over my 25 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up Internet connection. Wireless-N Test (MSi Wind N)This netbook was located in the same room as the router during the test.
Wireless-G ComparisonIn this comparison, we use wireless-G test clients to compare with wireless-N results. The Netgear WNR834B is configured to run at 130 Mbps with no encryption. Acer Aspire OneThis netbook is located fairly close to the dv6119us.
Download Speed: 18403 kbps (2300.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
MSi Wind GThis netbook is located two rooms over in a closet.
Download Speed: 3392 kbps (424 KB/sec transfer rate)
HP dv6119usThis laptop is located two rooms over in the other direction.
Download Speed: 14247 kbps (1780.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Wired Comparison (Desktop)For reference, the following results are from a desktop computer that is connected to the network via a 100 Mbps ethernet cable. Result 1: (connected directly to FIOS modem)
Download Speed: 19253 kbps (2406.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Download Speed: 19270 kbps (2408.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
