iDrive Torquemaster Soft Stop Adjustment?I've had this unit for about a year now. DIY install on a door that was installed by the builder. I haven't had any problems with the unit and it has worked beautifully. Lately, however, I noticed that the door is slamming down harder than it use to when closing. I thought maybe the door needed to be rebalanced and the opener reprofiled. I did both and the door is still closing hard. It seems the "soft stop" is no longer functioning or is out of adjustment? Does anyone know if this feature can be adjusted? The soft start is working fine, but the soft stop seems to be non-existent. The opener still works fine, but I'm just afraid of the long term damage that might be done to the door with the continued hard drops. I plan to call Wayne Dalton tech support, but wanted to throw this out there for anyone who might know of an adjustment available for the featured "soft stop" of the unit. Thanks. Rey Could it be that your torsion spring are getting weaker; causing the door to be bottom heavy? Might need to tighten up the springs a little bit, if the springs are still new. If they are really old, maybe it's time to replace them. Chieh Cheng Thanks for your response. The door and torsion tube are new...only about a year old. The balance of the door is still perfect...I tweaked it some along with the detent just to be certain. The Wayne Dalton rep will be sending me a new IC board...she said there's a field effect transistor on the board that most likely went bad, which is the reason why the soft stop is no longer working. I'll post back later to report if this fixes the problem. Rey Well, I installed the new IC board and it works great. I got my soft stop back. I also noticed with this board revision (23F) that the door closes *much* quicker and the door operation is instantaneous with pushing a transmitter button. With the previous IC board (rev. 14), I would hit a transmitter button and have to wait for the unit to chirp before the door started moving. With the new board, the door begins moving even before you hear the chirp. All in all, a good fix that addressed my initial problem and added some bonus upgrades to boot. Rey
