where can i get a replacement motor. mine seems to be interrmitment

Try profiling first. If that doesn't work, then consider a new motor.

The motor cable flexing may create a break in the motor power leads, not much you can do about that. Always remove the power if you get up there to look it over.

I have seen a few conditions were the door would stop or stop/reverse after about one year of operation. -Mine.

The solution was to re-lub the motor shaft, There are two hex screws that hold the motor and found on top of the motor. Easy to get to with the motor pivoted down.

Always unplug the power, don't want somebody starting the operator and your there with the motor dropped down out of the gear box.

Remove the two screws, motor will drop out, you may have to pull on it a little and then lube it with royal jelly, put motor back into the gear box - don't forget the screws. Power up and run the door up/down a few times. For lubes, if your up north, look for a lube that won't freeze up if the garage is not heated. Slick 50 was great but it's no longer sold.

On my I-drive, about every six months now, the operator starts having problems, I pull down the motor, lube it up and in an instance it back to normal. No more work. I expect it just like changing the oil in the car.

I have suggested they add a lube section to their manual, but they instead want to send out new motors.

thanks for the tip, jeff. i'm sure it's going to keep my idrive working longer. recently, i have needed to profile the idrive more. perhaps it has to do with the motor needing to be lubricated.

Have a idrive for torsion spring system. Cable from idrive to motor is getting frayed due to motor rubbing on it over the last several years.
P / N is 306953 anybody know where a new motor can be had??? it it the powder coated white motor.
Nothing broken yet, but just being cautious
