Thermowayne Stuck Tightly in Open Position

I am having a nightmare. I have a Wayne Dalton Thermowayne garage door with idrive. I tried to reprogramme the transmitter and seem to have cancelled the whole thing, the door is in the open position, seems very tight. I have had a grage door engineer out who says he will have to cut the wires to close it, can anyone help pplleeaassee !!!!!
