I-Drive for Torquemast - motor won't lift

I see somebody asked this question a few years ago and didn't get a response. I'll try again, I did post this question in an existing string but now wish I hadn't done that.

My I-Drive for Torquemaster (installed in 2004) recently began having an issue with the motor not lifting far enough during the opening sequence. The motor does not lift up far enough to allow the door to open. If you use the emergency handle to disengage the motor and move it to the "opening" position, the door will then open if you activate it from the wall station or the remote. Door will also close normally after it opens. When you attempt to open the door again, the motor again only lifts about half-way up then stops, and you have to repeat the manual disengagement.

The manual only suggests the the counterbalance spring tension is too high, or the install routine needs to be run again. I've adjusted the spring tension and re-run the installation routine, but it does not fix the problem. I'm hoping somebody will read this and be able to provide some insight into getting this solved.

Best,
T2
