Coming home to an open garage door

I have W-D iDrive. The "drive box" says it is a Genie Chain Drive 2.

Today, I came home to an open garage door and I am positive it closed this morning on the way to work. This is the second time this has happened in the past 6 months, although the first time, I convinced myself that I must have forgotten to close it. Not so today.

Any ideas?

That has happened to me in the past. But it's hard to determine whether I really closed it or not. So now, I tend to watch it come all the way down before I pull off. Another idea is to hack it so that it automatically closes after a certain time period, say 30 minutes.
