microsoft can save the global economyApple v Microsoft: What Steve Jobs and Bill Gates really think of each other in the comment from jobs about microsoft being non-object something. it got me thinking a bit about this. When apple went from the 030 and 040 chips to PowerPC and then from PowerPC to Intel, they built in a transition that was seemless but eventually, it did away with legacy codes (or whatever you tech guys call it). so, if Microsoft does this with Windows 8, they can really provide folks with a reason to upgrade their whole systems, software, and support. in the process, make a bundle of money and cause a global overhaul of computing. It can really jump start the global economy. yah? Sarcast Make a bundle of money for whom? Definitely Microsoft, but not the end users. For folks who upgraded to Vista, it was a complete waste of money and time. gnowk Right. Forgot about vista. But because vista sucked so bad, one might be able to attribute the lack of upgrade a factor in the global recession But a w8 that is bold and enticing enough can make company IT conclude the upgrade is worth their money. The idea is to create a wholesale upgrade globally. Sent from my iSlate (from the not too distant future) Sarcast
