Windows 8.1 First ImpressionI have just gotten the new Windows 8.1 upgrade on my laptop computer. There aren't very many major changes right off the bat. But here are some small ones I see. New Way to Get to All Your AppsAfter booting up on Windows 8.1, you still get to the tiles (Start) screen. But if you right click on an empty area of the tiles screen, you no longer the get "All Apps" button. That freaked me out a bit, but it turned out that Windows 8.1 added a down arrow button to the bottom of the left most tiles. When you click on the down arrow, all your apps show up. You can return to the start by clicking on the up arrow. New Start Menu ButtonOr maybe that's the old start menu button. Windows 8 took away the start menu button from the desktop task bar. But Windows 8.1 brought it back. It just looks different--a square with Windows symbol in it. When you click it, it bring you back to the tiles. But when you right click on it, you get a lot more options, like shutting down and other old favorites. Screen shot below shows you the full list of options. Jake
