Upgrade to Windows 8.1 for FreeMicrosoft has started rolling out the Windows 8.1 update for Windows 8 users. If your computer came with Windows 8 installed, you should be able to get this upgrade for free. I was wondering how they are going to roll it out. I wondered if it was going to be automatic or if I have to manually download it. My Asus G46VW came with Windows 8, so I had left the computer on the network for a day, but nothing happened. Today, I finally opened up Microsoft Store on the laptop. On it's front page was a big button that says, "Update to Windows 8.1 for free" (see screen shot below). Figures. I clicked the button and agreed to the installation. The download is 3.5 GB. And you can do your work while it is being downloaded. Mine is downloading in the background now. Jake
