OBS Studio Can't Keep Up with My Games

My game computer failed recently. So I configured another replacement to play my games. But after installing my games and OBS Studio, my recording couldn't keep up. I tried all sorts of OBS Studio setting combinations to try to speed it up, but nothing helped. In the end, the option that allowed me to finally record my games is to change the Encoder from "Software (x264)" to either "Hardware (QSV)" or "Hardware (NVENC)".

The second hardware encoder provides better video recording quality. But you'll need a graphics card that supports it. Most graphics cards today supports the QSV hardware encoder.
