spare parts for MSI Wind U100

hello Chieh
on this site, I found the HDD bracket assembly for which I have been searching since weeks.
It is for my Wind U100.

HDD BRACKET ASSY
307-0110111-A89

Do you know where I can order 2 pieces of that item ?
No one in Europe can furnish that bracket.

Sorry, I don't know where to get one of these brackets. But based on what I remember, it's a simple bracket, so you may be able to fabricate one out of a piece of sheet metal. I bet it wouldn't be too hard.

indeed it is a very simple sheet of thin metal,
however it must be precisely worked, that is the problem.

Hans,

Looking at the photos I posted in the "Inside the MSi Wind U100-279US" thread, you can easily make a strip of sheet metal that goes OVER the hard drive. If you make the strip slightly bigger as it go over the hard drive, you can bend it so that it secures the hard drive in place. I don't think this strip of sheet metal needs to be very precise, just make sure the two ends that are screwed down aren't touching any electrical components.
