That's pretty good. Looks like the C1 that I've been trying to source on eBay without success lately. My friend will be thrilled, since the Sony VAIO C1 was her primary notebook for a long time. And exactly what she was looking for when she bought her current laptop.

it'll likely be overpriced because of the Sony name...

but who knows! we might be surprised. and it'll be a surprise because it may end up cannibalizing their subnotebook sales. I'm wary about anything Sony given the overpriced accessories like their laptop batteries. It's dumb when the battery costs 1/3 of the laptop's value.

Otherwise, I'd still have my Viao.

Sure. But compared to the original Sony VAIO C1, which was priced at $2200 that some people were willing to shell out for, this one might be considered as under priced. And it's a lot easier to swallow. If Sony would sell it at $400, it'll probably sell like hot cakes.

By the way, there is a vendor on eBay selling the Sony VAIO PCG-C1MSX for $999. He hasn't dropped that price in the past month. So maybe there is really a market.
