Notebook Computer Becomes Burning Hot When Covering the Keyboard and Palm RestLast night, I was doing some work on my HP dv6119us notebook when it comes time for my weekly exercise with my buddies. I figured that I would be back in a few hours to continue working on my computer, so I decided to leave my computer on. At the same time I left the notebook binder with my documents on top of the keyboard and the palm rest of the notebook computer. And then I left. Four hours later, I came back, took a shower, and started working on my project again. I picked up the binder and put my hands on the palm rest. It was burning hot! It's like putting your hands on the steering wheel during after your car has been baking under the hot summer sun. Lesson learned . . . the keyboard pad and the palm rest is also use to ventilate the heat from the hard drive and other components inside the notebook computer. Don't cover it! Chieh Cheng
