Network Keeps Turning Off on MSi Wind U100-279US

Anyone know why the network functionality on my MSi Wind keeps turning off between uses? It stays on fine during operation. And I believe during reboot. But if I turn it off for a day and turn it back on the next day, the network functionality is off. Anyone have the same experience?

Mine turned off on its own (wireless light off) during use yesterday, but this was right after I swapped out the wireless card with another. It's been okay since and it never happened prior to that.

I am running BIOS v1.09, not sure if that matters.

Also, did you take out the battery after you turned it off? I know when the Bluetooth doesn't turn on, you have to take out the battery and put it back it to get it working again. Not sure if that's related somehow.

Why did you swap out the wireless card?

Maybe it's the BIOS. I don't know. Now I'm installing Mac OS X, so we'll have to see.

The battery is also a possibility. I unplug the battery when I'm using AC power and only use the battery when I'm actually using the battery. With all the notebooks I have, I found that the battery goes dead quickly if the notebook is always plugged in to AC. So maybe that's caused the wireless network function to switch off.

Is there a reason to upgrade to BIOS 1.09?

I ordered another wifi card before figuring out how to get the stock one to work under OS X. The replacement card works natively without 3rd party drivers, so I kept it.

BIOS 1.09 allows overclocking when you're on AC power. There might be other features, but the overclocking was the only reason I upgraded.

It seems that Bluetooth and WiFi always turns off if you remove the power and the battery on the MSi Wind. At least it does on BIOS 1.06.
