TagCloud No More?

I just posted a message called Technorati no more this morning. And all of a sudden, I am noticing that TagCloud is starting to have problem. The cloud itself shows up. But when you click on any tag, TagCloud server gives the following message:

"Thank you for visiting TagCloud.com. This page is currently down for maintenance and will be restored shortly."

I have been receiving this message all morning! It doesn't seem like their service is being "restored shortly." Anyone experiencing this problem?

It's been a day to two and TagCloud is still not work. So I started wondering if it is my problem. I sent a feedback message to their team and received a response quickly:

It's not you! It's us! We've been busy behind the scenes improving performance and scalability. Since TagCloud is a free service and in beta, some features will be offline from time to time. The part that you publish on your site is our highest concern, and so far we've kept them up without downtime. Thanks for sticking with us.

I am glad they responded, unlike Technorati. I felt the response was genuine and sincere, so I sent back an encouragement:

"Thank you for your fast response, John. I understand that providing services to so many users quickly and be a daunting task. I am glad to hear that you guys are working hard to improve service. Keep up the good work. I'll be waiting patiently.

John Herren from TagCloud has written directly to us in the "Is TagCloud Broken?" thread. They now have a Yahoo! Group sat-up for discussion.

Weblog: GearHack
Excerpt: Just a few days ago, I sat-up a TagCloud on my own personal blog, because I think TagCould is a fun feature to add to any web site. It would keep track of the keywords in your blog entries and display them in order of quantity. And that's when it became apparent that something is wrong. Even after d . . .
