Setup the Mac OS X Bash Shell

The Mac OS X 10.5.4 has a really nice Terminal software. It starts up Bash automatically. But after starting it up, you'll see that it's quite minimal. You'll have to set it up to get comfortable. All of the Bash start-up scripts are gone, so it takes a while to remember which ones you need to set up. The two most important ones are ".bash_profile" and ".bashrc". You can also add ".bash_logout" to have it automatically execute stuff on exit.
