OLPC XO-1 Runs x86 Linux Binaries

I didn't realize it, but it turns out that the 433 MHz AMD Geode LX-700 CPU in the OLPC XO-1 is fully compatible with the x86 instruction set. That means the Sugar operating system on the XO can run x86 Linux binaries.

The XO-1.5 will be using the much faster VIA C7-M CPU, which is also x86 compatible. Therefore, it will be able to run x86 Linux binaries as well.
