is it possible? build your own cell phone?Or build your own pda/handheld? Suppose that is what Google has in mind as well? you buy the box and you can mash together the components you want. more memory. different cpu's. different OS. Screen? I'm no geek but I knew a few (all of you) who might dabble in it. Boy, what a great market and direction that'll head towards. Paul OpenMoko David I think gphone can be open and standardized enough for that. Paul Probably unlikely to happen. It hasn't really happened for notebook computers yet . . . and that's been on the market for a long time. Chieh Cheng I've heard about how ati had been trying to come out with gpu that is replace by the user in laptops but I guess the oems have convinced them otherwise. a few years ago, some laptop manufacturers did their own. alienware's gpu is upgradable.
