Use Proxim RangeLAN-DS Wireless PC Card with Windows CE 2.11For the longest time, I've been wanting to install a wireless PC card onto my HP Jornada 680e HPC so that I can use it with my network. But it seems that none of my wireless PC cards came with Windows CE 2.11 drivers. It wasn't until I read "802.11b Wireless LAN PC Cards" on Chris De Herrera's Windows CE Website that I realized that my D-Link DWL-650 wireless card will work with my Jornada 680e using the Compaq WL-100 Driver. And indeed it worked after following the "Compaq WL100 Driver Installation". But it was disappointing to read from the same web site that the Proxim RangeLAN-DS wouldn't work. That is until I read "Prism GT Chipset, hostap?" thread that I realized that the DWL-650 and the RangeLAN-DS (8430) use the same Prism2/2.5/3 chipset. And indeed the RangeLAN-DS card worked just fine on the HP Jornada 680e after specifying the "wl100nds.dll" driver when prompted. Chieh Cheng
