League of Legends: One For All First ImpressionLast night, I had a chance to test drive LOL's new holiday mode: One For All. Yes, One For All is only available between November 22 and December 2, 2013. It's a mode where the five of you vote for one champion to play (on Summoner's Rift) and all five of you play that same champion. The other team does the same. Other than that Riot provides very little details about this game mode. So, I'll walk down that path. One For All is only available in PVP mode and is only available to more experienced players. It operates like the ranked draft mode. Before champion selection starts, each team goes through the ban phase, banning a total of six champions. After the ban phase, each team mate vote for a champion to play. The champion with the majority vote is choose on your team. If everyone picks a different champion, then the LOL pick a random champion based on the five. During the champion selection, you can talk and discuss among your team mates to decided who to ban and what champion(s) to vote for. Based on what I've seen, a lot of folks dodges queue when Jinx is picked. I don't know why, so I haven't got a chance to play Jinx yet in One For All. It's interesting and refreshing to see the game load screen. Because you see five of one champion and five of another champion. That's a scene you don't see everyday. Most people get stuck playing champions that they never played before. That's especially true for me. But most folks are quite friendly in One For All, because all players has gotten stuck playing a champion they don't know at one point. So questions about how to play the champion usually pops up during the game. Most players are helpful at answering those questions. And it's a great way to be friendly with each other. I've played three One For All games. Each time getting stuck with a champion that I don't know how to play. If you are possessive about which champion you play, then you probably won't have much fun in One For All. But if you like to play multiple champions, or you just want to have some fun with fellow summoners, then you'll find One For All an refreshing experience. Fido
