Free FarCry Need a CD Key for Internet Play!?

Lately, I've found that FarCry has gone free . . . well . . . with the help of advertisement support. So I've downloaded a copy and have been playing it. But I've found that if you try to play multi-player, it asks for a CDKey (see screen shot below). What the heck!? Where do I get a CD key?
