EA's Play 4 Free games

Play 4 Free is a new, platform from Electronic Arts where users can download PC games for free from their website. The platform was set to be launched with a game called Battlefield Heroes that is supposed to be a cartoon shooter similar to Team Fortress, but with more in depth character development. Unlike Team Fortress, Battlefield Heroes also has character customization options, which include items that can be purchased online. As of right now, Battlefield Heroes is in open beta and you can sign up to get a key. A game that is available for play right now is Sim City Classic, which can be downloaded from the Sim City Electronic Arts website. Another game is Scrabble, which can also be downloaded off the main Electronic Arts website. As of right now, because Play 4 Free is relatively new, there isn't much in the way of game offerings. However, Electronic Arts does offer a wide array of free flash games on their website that include games such as Mirror's Edge 2D, Monopoly, Mercenaries 2, and Littlest Pet Shop Skyride. Hopefully in the future, though, more games that are like Battlefield Heroes in terms of development are released for free online play.
